Team Leader- North America

REPORTING TO: SVP OPERATIONS

POSITION TYPE: PHILEDELPHIA; REMOTE

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Team Leader manages a small group of Business Travel Consultants within a larger team for Reed & Mackay Travel, a service-led premium business travel management company that serves high-end corporate clients.
  • Team Leaders support their team in an Operational capacity as well as managing their own client portfolio.
  • Specific duties include: Work in collaboration with the SVP Operations and Client Success teams to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Provide direct supervision to a team of Business Travel Consultants, coaching and mentoring.
  • Account management of high-profile corporate travel clients, building key client relationships and delivering high-touch service.
  • Conducting job interviews in conjunction with the SVP Operations.
  • Responsible for shift and vacation planning, one to one meetings, annual performance development reviews.
  • Using the iQ GDS tool linked to Sabre GDS. Developing and delivering targeted learning sessions to covert all employees to the iQ GDS platform.
  • Motivation of staff to reach and exceed targets and objectives.
  • Serve as senior point of contact within operations for all issues and troubleshooting.
  • Attending weekly meetings with client Global Travel Manager and tasked with building and enhancing relationship with the client.
  • Training new employees on company technology and implementing development plans.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Must have at least five (5) years of related corporate travel industry experience.
  • Previous work experience must have included: At least two (2) years of experience managing a team within the corporate travel industry
  • At least three (3) years of experience using travel industry GDS tools to book corporate travel
  • At least three (3) years of experience in developing and delivering tailored trainings, workshops, and learning sessions for GDS systems
  • At least three (3) years of experience in managing corporate travel accounts
  • At least three (3) years of experience providing first line product support for GDS booking tools.
