Position: Event Travel Manager

Purpose of the Role:
- To provide the highest possible level of Event Travel Management to key clients, General Manager, Operations Manager, Team Leads and the Event Travel Team overall.
- To develop relationships across all areas of Reed & Mackay sharing best in class market knowledge of Event Travel and thus supporting clients’ key objectives in arranging events
- To ensure maximum revenue generation in all areas of Reed & Mackay Event Travel while always ensuring significant return on investment to the client Key Responsibilities: As a primary client liaison of the Event Travel Department, you will further the vision and goals of R&M by providing outstanding support across the US.
- Assist our travellers with best-in-class personalized travel support, by helping them resolve issues before, during, and after travel. This may require helping with basic cancellations, changes, and updates to hotel, flight, car, and/or rail bookings.
- Provide accurate and detailed fare information for hotel, flight, car, and rail bookings, as needed.
- Work closely with client contacts to understand and meet program objectives/outcomes.
- Identifies clients’ measures of critical success factors for project
- Maintains thorough project documentation to ensure contract and documentation policy compliance (i.e., service agreements, SLAs, etc.)
- Troubleshoot issues by regularly referring to our agent tools for guidelines on how to best assist the traveller.
- Responsible for coordination of program planning from post-sale stage to final billing
- Participate in regular team meetings to ensure you are up to date on new product launches, industry updates and exciting team initiatives and programs
- Constantly improve your travel industry and platform knowledge so we continue to set the standard for best-in-class travel managers
- Training in Navan/R&M Systems
Support Team Lead Skills Required:
- One to three years of travel planning experience preferred
- Professional oral and written communication skills required
- Proficient MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills along with the technical aptitude to learn new technology
- Ability to multitask with a desire to resolve urgent matters as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- An empathetic disposition with the ability to always maintain a professional attitude
- Experience and ability to adapt and thrive in a hyper-growth environment
- 2+ years of GDS experience preferred
- An independent thinker who can use available resources to troubleshoot issues and resolve customer inquiries.
- Prior successful experience in developing and maintaining key client and Account Manager/Account Executive relationships
- Proven record with strong customer service skills
- Reliable and flexible with an openness to working part-time non-traditional shifts (early mornings, late evenings, and weekends)
