JOB PURPOSE:
Reed & Mackay are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Commercial Revenue Analyst to join our Commercial organization. Based in London and reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, this role will play a pivotal role in influencing R&M’s commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, and maximizing profitability. The ideal candidate will combine a strong understanding of our industry with exceptional analytical skills to drive forward our commercial efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Commercial Revenue Analyst is responsible for analysing and enhancing revenue generation strategies across various channels and products. By leveraging data analysis, market insights, and optimisation tools, the analyst works to identify opportunities to maximise revenue, improve profitability, and streamline operational efficiencies. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure commercial strategies are aligned with business goals. Key areas of focus include:
Revenue Analysis & Forecasting:
- Monitor and analyse revenue performance across different lines of business, including flights, lodging, ground, connectivity
- Develop and maintain detailed revenue forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and strategic goals.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership and relevant teams regarding revenue trends, potential risks, and opportunities for growth.
Pricing Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the pricing team to define and optimise pricing strategies based on competitive analysis, cost structures, and market demand.
- Conduct pricing sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of price changes on revenue and profitability.
- Support the development of promotional and discounting strategies that maximise revenue without compromising margins.
Revenue Optimisation & Modeling:
- Utilise data-driven models to identify areas for revenue optimisation across customer segments, and product/service offerings.
- Recommend improvements to pricing, bundling, or product offerings to enhance revenue streams.
- Collaborate with teams to test and implement pricing changes, promotional offers, and product adjustments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, operations, and product teams to ensure alignment on revenue targets and optimisation strategies.
- Assist with data-driven decision-making by providing relevant reports, dashboards, and analysis to stakeholders.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards and regular reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs), revenue trends, and optimisation initiatives
- Provide recommendations for improving the overall effectiveness of revenue-generating activities.
- Present findings and analysis to senior management to support strategic planning and decisionmaking.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct competitive analysis to stay informed on industry trends, pricing models, and competitor offerings.
- Monitor market conditions, customer preferences, and demand changes to adjust strategies and remain competitive.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related discipline is a plus.
- Preferred Experience: In a revenue optimization, pricing, financial analysis, or similar role. Experience with data-driven decision-making and revenue forecasting is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI. Experience with data modeling and statistical analysis software is a plus.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong ability to interpret and analyse data, identify trends, and extract actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of financial metrics and key performance indicators
