Alexandra Thrower is General Counsel & Data Protection Officer at Reed & Mackay and joined the business in 2020. Alexandra is a member of the Executive team and played a pivotal role in steering the company through the challenges of the pandemic, allowing the business to emerge the other side with heightened resilience and strength. Throughout her tenure, Alexandra has overseen the continuous growth of the business and takes pride in cultivating a diverse and dynamic Legal & Compliance Department at Reed & Mackay.
Under Alexandra’s leadership, the Legal & Compliance Department efficiently address global business requirements related to legal matters, data privacy, and compliance across all markets. The team thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, showcasing their energy and adaptability to the evolving needs of the business.

Legal & Compliance Department
The Legal & Compliance Department at Reed & Mackay stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation. With its roots deeply embedded in the travel and events management industry, the legal team at Reed & Mackay is not just a support function but a strategic partner to the business.
Expertise and Services: Specialising in corporate travel law, our department handles a wide array of legal and compliance matters. Most of our work is kept in-house, where we draft, review, and negotiate a variety of documents including supplier and service agreements, customer agreements, NDAs, IT contracts, addendums, renewals, and templates. The team also manage our company acquisitions and legal integration work, property work, company secretarial, IP and data privacy matters.
Innovation and Adaptation: Our team is known for its forward-thinking approach. We have been instrumental in adapting to the changing dynamics of the travel industry, particularly in response to the surge in sustainable travel preferences amongst our clients. Our team have been a key partner to the business in the growth of our travel and events management business.
Commitment to Sustainability: Reflecting the company’s dedication to sustainability, the Legal & Compliance Department have played a crucial role in recent sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) agreements, an increase in the number of rail bookings and the development of our online booking tool.
