Product Manager

Position: Product Manager
Reporting to: Group Product Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

We are seeking a passionate and driven Product Manager to join our Global Product team. This role focuses on managing the full lifecycle of our Ground Products within a Travel Management Company (TMC) environment. You will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and support strategic business goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Gather and prioritise product requirements from customers, stakeholders, and industry insights.
  • Collaborate with Development teams to deliver projects and support go-to-market strategies.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from discovery through to delivery and post-launch optimisation


Vendor Management

  • Manage vendor relationships, including roadmap planning, requirement validation, and release management.
  • Ensure effective coordination between vendors and internal stakeholders to meet business and technical objectives.
  • Conduct regular service reviews and escalate issues to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.


Roadmap and Release Management

  • Define and manage product roadmaps aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Plan and communicate release timelines, product updates, and enhancements across the business.
  • Support go-to-market planning, release testing, documentation, and internal training


Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with technical, product, and operational teams to solve customer challenges and drive innovation.
  • Promote a collaborative, agile environment that supports continuous improvement


Market Analysis

  • Monitor competitive landscape to identify gaps and opportunities in our Rail and Car offerings.
  • Provide insights that inform product direction and business decisions


Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the product evangelist, delivering regular updates, demos, and training sessions.
  • Foster product engagement and understanding across teams and client groups.


Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date product documentation.
  • Assist with internal training and promote knowledge-sharing practices across teams.



Industry Engagement

  • Attend relevant supplier meetings and industry events to stay informed on market trends and emerging technologies.



Internal Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with Reed & Mackay’s certification programmes and internal policies.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 3-4 years of experience (preferred) as a Product Manager or Product Specialist in a software or tech-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of Rail and Car workflows within the travel industry.
  • Experience with at least one GDS (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport).
  • Familiarity with mid-office and back-office systems in the TMC space.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear product solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with an ability to influence across departments.
  • Confident in delivering presentations, workshops, and solution sessions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving initiatives forward.

OFFICE LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This role will be a hybrid role, working remotely and at R&M’s head office which is based in London. The core UK business hours (08:30 – 18:00) however depending on client and business needs this may need to flex. As part of this role, you will be required to travel for client and product meetings both nationally and internationally.
