PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
A Product Manager at Reed & Mackay plays a crucial role in its success by solving customer problems whilst being part of the Global Product team. The Product Manager for Corporate Booking tools is responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate booking tools and related online solutions. You will oversee the product lifecycle – from gathering and prioritizing requirements to managing product releases and stakeholder communications. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, external partners and clients to ensure product alignment and delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Lifecycle Management:
Responsible for the management, configuration, and optimization of Reed & Mackay’s 3rd Party Corporate Self-Booking Tool systems, ensuring alignment across global markets.
Vendor Management:
Lead vendor relationships, including product roadmap planning, requirement validation, and release management.
Ensure smooth coordination between internal teams and vendors to meet business needs.
Conduct regular service reviews with vendors and escalate issues as needed to ensure high-quality service.
Roadmap and Release Management:
Identify, gather, and prioritize product requirements in collaboration with stakeholders (Sales, Client Success, and clients).
Communicate new features, updates, and product enhancements across the business.
Plan and execute go-to-market strategies, release testing, documentation, and training.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment by working with product, technical, and operational teams to solve customer challenges, maintain product quality, and drive innovation.
Market Analysis:
Continuously assess market competition by comparing Reed & Mackay’s product offerings wit competitors to identify opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Communication:
Provide regular product and release updates, conduct product demonstrations and serve as a product evangelist to foster understanding and engagement across teams and clients.
Training & Knowledge Sharing:
Assist in training internal teams and ensure product documentation is kept up to date. Promote knowledge sharing to maintain product quality.
Industry Engagement:
Attend industry events and supplier meetings to stay informed on market trends and emerging tools.
Internal Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting with compliance to Reed & Mackay’s certification programmes and policies.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 1-2 year’s experience (preferred) as a Product Manager or Product Specialist, ideally in a software or technology driven environment.
- Strong understanding of corporate business travel (CBT) booking tools (e.g., SAP Concur and Cytric) and travel industry workflows.
- Experience with at least one Global Distribution System (GDS), such as Sabre, Amadeus, or Travelport.
- Familiarity with mid-office and back-office systems in the travel industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable product solutions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Confidence to present and lead workshops, solution sessions, and discussions at all organizational levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and project management skills.
