Mackay) in the hands of outstanding people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main role of a Business Travel Consultant is to build relationships and understand the needs of our clients whilst delivering a \u2018high-touch\u2019 service that saves clients time and drives down their total cost of travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Service expectation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide a dedicated, consistently high level of service to all clients tailored to their individual requirements with a desire to exceed client expectation at all times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effectively manage your workload to meet all deadlines as required, either set by the client or within R&amp;M<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Ability and willingness to service different client industry sectors across the wider business<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate innovative thinking and provide a consultative approach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advise proactively on all relevant immigration, passport and visa requirements along with any applicable travel restrictions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be proficient in all R&amp;M Technology, sharing knowledge with the client to ensure an all-encompassing service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be responsible for the delivery of all rail reservations and to advise clients on best practice utilising R&amp;M technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommend and procure ancillary products as required i.e. car rental, ferry, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Operational expectation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage your own full client portfolio to the highest R&amp;M standard, demonstrating extraordinary customer service to your wider team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pro-actively build meaningful and long lasting relationships both internally and externally<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exceed client\u2019s expectation at all times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify and implement opportunity to add value to each booking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utilise detailed understanding of the client policy to drive compliance whilst maximising opportunity to enhance the traveller experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to apply a variety of fare types and ticketing methods, whilst maintaining an up to date knowledge of industry innovations (e.g. airline direct connect)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working with IFD to proactively identify cross market and local inventory differences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Procure the best hotel rates for clients utilising GDS and non GDS channels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor all bookings for further saving opportunities up until completion of the trip<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be proficient in all R&amp;M Technology and to ensure knowledge is shared and maintained amongst the team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be responsible for the delivery of UK rail reservations and to advise clients on best practice utilising R&amp;M technology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To oversee the client experience by utilising mixed mode booking tools and to provide 1st line product support for both offline\/online bookings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate proactive thinking when providing travel solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to provide cost effective solutions across all aspects of travel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To comply with the client policies and guidelines at all times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Achieve SLA\u2019s for all accounts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with iQ demos as appropriate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist sales team attending prospect client meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular interaction with overseas colleagues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply Quality Control procedures and processes in line with company and GREC requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>French speaking mandatory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage your own ticket issuance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calculate your own reissues and changes in line with ticketing time limits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exceptional telephone manner and written skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate ability to make effective use of resources available to complete tasks to agreed deadlines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has a proven record of experience in a core business travel environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum qualification level to Fares &amp; Ticketing VAII (formally BA2)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fully conversant with one or all GDS systems; Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience of mixed mode booking tools, and 1st line product support for both offline\/online bookings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge of the travel industry and products in the market including different aircraft types and cabins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of Low Cost Carriers in the market and their different products available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fully conversant with various rail booking systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a \u2018team player\u2019 approach to an office environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in using MS software packages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to build an exceptional rapport with all clients<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent attention to detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexible approach to working environment and willingness to work from different office locations, including \u2018mobile travel manager\u2019 visits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have an enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn attitude<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Independently commit to attend and complete all relevant training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Achieve individual and team based business objectives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-59133","jobs","type-jobs","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Business Travel Consultant | Reed &amp;
